2M , 6 Elements, 11 dB YAGI ANTENNA

Given below are the details of a simple 6-elements high performance YAGI antenna based on design by DK7ZB. This design was followed by a number of hams like M0UKD,PA3ALF and others...
Its a light weight 6-elements Yagi with 50 ohms input impedance - ready to be fed directly by a low loss 50 ohms cable. I used RG8U for the feed line. No tunning is required if the dimensions & positioning of various elements is followed accurately.
Theoritical gain of this Yagi is over 11dBi.
The construction material chosen for my Yagi was based on the material available at hand rather than any technical considerations! You may modify the construction to suit your own requirements.

Shown below is the graph of SWR readings taken on MFJ 259B Antenna Analyzer. Since the analyzer does not have a resolution of less than 0.1 on SWR scale, anything below 1.1 SWR is shown as 1.0 - a perfect match!
Shown below is the housing for input UHF(F) connector / current choke and driven element feeding. I used 3mm/5mm Flex Board sheet & fast setting Glue for making the housing.
After fixing driven elements.
The ends of driven elements have a gap of 10mm between them.
Current choke made with RG58U on a 4cm dia plastic pipe (4 turns, closely wound)
Completed input feeding housing. The current choke connections are soldered to driven elements ends through Tags.
Side plates for mounting antenna elements on the boom
3mm Perspex side plates for attaching the antenna boom to vertical mounting support.
Completed assembly of boom attachment to vertical heavy duty plastic pipe (dia 3.2cm)
