Synthesize your own custom capacitors

Passive audio filters design often need use of non-standard, non-polarized high value capacitors. These are very difficult to synthesize and often require change in design values and reworking.

Given below is a very simple solution to make custom value precision capacitors. I needed these capacitors for development of a passive CW audio filter having 8 ohms input/output impedance.

These are simple & quick to make and produce very nice results. Tantalum capacitors are used  because of their good stability, solid electrolyte and compactness.
